What kind of camera and microphone do I need?

Most people postpone getting started with live shopping because they don’t have a high-end DSLR camera, special lights and a fancy studio. Contrary to popular belief, you really just need a smartphone and a tidy desk or room to get started! Mobile phone cameras have become very sophisticated and can provide very good video quality with minimal effort. Additionally, we recommend getting a tripod for your device, or even a light ring. A lav mic is also worth the investment, but totally optional.

Of course, if you want to take your live shopping experience to the next level, you can consider having 2 or 3 DSLR cameras, special multi-point lighting and a special room setup. But in the end, remember it’s about showcasing your products and how you engage your audience that matters.

Do we need big budgets to host live shopping events?
