Technical Limitations

Concurrent usage notice – in order to run shows with expected audiences of more than 1,000 concurrent users, we need to adjust our infrastructure beforehand and make necessary final tests to confirm that our system is configured to sustain the required load. Please let us know over support@stageme.live about any shows where you expect to have more than 1,000 users at the same time.

Picture in picture – this feature is not currently available on Android, due to their restrictions.

Audio-only live stream – streaming-only audio is not currently available. In case your use case fits the scenario of only streaming audio, we can discuss possible options.

Cluster placement – our default application is currently served via our US-based cluster. To improve performance and comply with GDPR, we need to deploy your application in an EU cluster, which is available by request.

Screen-share limitation – this functionality is only available on desktops and laptops. Mobiles and tablets don’t currently offer web-based applications to share their screen.

Checkout – in order to have a fully integrated checkout, directly in the live stream, we need to configure our system to seamlessly integrate with your existing CRM and framework. To do that, we will need to have a discussion with your technical team and align on the important synchronization topics.

Payment gateway – on request, we can integrate your payment gateway directly into our solution and allow your users to pay via cards directly in the live stream window.

Stock management limitation – for products having multiple variants, colours, sizes etc. stock management is not synced into StageMe.

Cookies and tracking codes limitation – via StageMe, you can add tracking codes in the header of the viewer side, but in the scenario of using our embed integration, cookies will be blocked on the Safari browser. Our system does not store any default cookies on the viewer side, which means that all the functionalities we provide, will still be working properly. In order to surpass this limitation, we need to adjust our system to reflect our solution on one of your subdomains. We can achieve this together with you or your technical team.

Recordings limitation – currently our system is configured to automatically close recordings that surpass 3 hours in duration. If your use case requires to host shows longer than that, we can adjust the default settings and increase this time limitation.

Show analytics – these are currently showcased in an after-show meeting that we schedule together. In these meetings, we will extract all important metrics and provide you with the important information you need.

Restreaming max endpoints – currently you can restream your live video on a maximum of 10 endpoints. In case you need more than that, we can adjust.
